Two historic houses in the Alta Vista neighborhood received final approval for designation from City Council.  We spoke in support of the new landmarks at  800 W. Russell and 2511 N. Flores.  Both play an important role in the visual character of the entry into the neighborhood from San Pedro Springs Park.

The proposed redevelopment of the Borden Creamery building and Star Storage site at 815 E. Ashby passed on the council consent agenda.  We were pleased to provide a written statement in favor of this exciting project, which will retain the Art Deco ice cream plant and expand the River Walk.  New apartments will replace the Star Storage billboards, greatly improving the gateway to downtown from the airport.
