Don’t Miss the Spurs Arena Town Hall – Open to All, Jan 25, 2025

You’ve heard about the City’s proposal for a new Spurs arena as part of “Project Marvel” and have many unanswered questions.  Bexar County Commissioner Tommy Calvert is inviting the elected officials who represent the downtown and eastside communities and their constituents to two town halls to discuss what to do with the Frost Bank Center if the Spurs leave and what downtown residents need if the arena comes to Hemisfair Park. Anyone who is concerned about the demolition of Hemisfair’s Institute of Texas Cultures building  (a local, state, and national landmark), funding the arena, or the impact of the proposed arena on the Eastside and Hemisfair Park/downtown should attend one of these sessions.
