New MACRI Exhibit on Civil Rights Leader Alonso S. Perales

Be one of the first to see MACRI’s traveling exhibit on Alonso S. Perales, including artifacts from Perales family members and Arte Público Press.  The exhibit will be on display from Saturday, June 29, 2024 to Saturday, October 19, 2024.

About the exhibit:

A traveling exhibit on the life and legacy of Alonso S. Perales (1898-1960), civil rights activist, public intellectual, and US diplomat. Drawing from Dr. Cynthia E. Orozco’s recently published biography of Perales, his first comprehensive biography, this exhibit will introduce Perales to a new generation.
