Mission Nuestra Señora de la Purísima Concepción de Acuña
History:
Mission Concepción was originally founded in 1716 in East Texas, along with five other missions. After fifteen years of great hardship and uncertainty, Mission Concepción, along with San Juan and Espada, was moved, re-named and re-established on the San Antonio River on March 5, 1731.
