We supported the designation of  the Westfort Historic District, which City Council approved on Thursday.  Congratulations to the Westfort community for taking this step to protect the history and architectural character of their neighborhood.

The day before, the Society made a statement to the Historic and Design Review Commission (HDRC), opposing the construction of four houses where one house had once stood at 255 Brahan in the Westfort neighborhood.  HDRC denied the applicant’s request due to the increase in density of structures proposed on the lot.
