Are your community’s historic farm and
ranch properties disappearing?
The San Antonio Conservation Society and
the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Partners in the Field
program will address the impact of the expanding growth of the
urban/suburban footprint on the historic rural landscape in the
12-county Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG) region. This
historic farm and ranch properties preservation workshop will help
explore the best possible measures for maintaining the unique character
of rural South Texas and the Hill Country.
A diverse panel of speakers will cover
topics including identifying historic properties, stabilization and
restoration, potential funding sources, and conservation easements.
Opportunities will also be available to discuss and share experiences.
This workshop is ideal for concerned
property owners and members of local governments, community and
non-profit organizations, advocacy and planning groups, and historic
associations, across the 12-county AACOG region.
